This installation sheet is designed for RM0211ATXBK and RM0211ATXBG 4U Rackmount Chassis.
Before you begin, please check the RM0211 box contents. The chassis box should contain the following: (See picture)

There are 11 mounting accessories come with RM0211 chassis.
If you any of these items are missing, please contact PCW Microsystems, Inc. for assistance. Tel: 516-997-5050
You will need a screwdriver for motherboard installation.
Note: Skip this section, if the RM0211 unit already came with an ATX power supply pre-installed.

First, removing the two screws on each side of the chassis.

Next, loosen a thumbscrew at the back of the chassis. Slide the top cover off the chassis.
Remove the four screws that secured the clamp-down-bar. Lift the clamp-down-bar and you are ready to install an ATX power supply.

Align the ATX power supply to the back of RM0211 chassis opening.
Please view installation process for RP8300.
:
Before you begin, locate the mounting spacer number 8 and 9 from RM0211 mounting accessories pack. Mounting spacer number 8 is made of “brown” copper.Mounting spacer number 9 is made of metal.
Depending on your ATX motherboard’s mounting style, you will need to place either Copper Spacer # 8 or metal spacer #10 on to the RM0211 motherboard mounting plate.

Clip the metal spacer # 10 on to the chassis’s motherboard
mounting plate. The alignments and positions of the metal mounting spacers
should match the ATX motherboard’s mounting holes.
The copper screw number #8 is used to secure Pentium 4 ATX motherboard. These copper screws will help secure P4 CPU cooling fans.
Make sure that the mounting holes on the ATX motherboard match the holes on the metal spacer number 10.Use mounting screw number 1, 6 or 7 to secure the ATX motherboard on to the RM0211 mounting plate.

Connect the ATX power connector from the ATX power supply on to an ATX motherboard.

RM0211 chassis provides a set of status LED lights at the front of the chassis panel. The above picture shows connectors for RM0211 status LED lights. These connectors are Power LED, H.D.D LED, Power Switch, Reset Switch, USB Ports and speaker.

Connect the chassis fan cable directly on to an ATX
motherboard’s fan connector. Please note that not every ATX motherboard
supports chassis fan option.

RM0211 has an optional internal temperature and fan failure alarm board (Model#RM0211-ISF08).

RM0211 Temperature and Fan Failure Alarm Board(Alarm Board for short) supports 8 chassis fans and 2 temperature sensors. The sensitivity of the internal temperature sensor is adjustable between three temperature ranges (50, 60, 70 degree C).
RM0211 Alarm Board supports 8 internal chassis fans.First, determine the number of the chassis fan(s) to be connecting the alarm board.Next, connect the first chassis fan to the FAN1 connector on the Alarm Board.Following the sequence and connect second and third fans to the FAN2 and FAN3 connectors on the Alarm Board. Please keep in mind that FAN1 connector must be use (occupied) before connecting the FAN2 connector. After finish the connection, determine the number of chassis fan installed and set up the following jumper switch.
(On = Cap On or Jumper On)
(Blank = Cap off or Jumper Off)

The Alarm Board requires a power source to operate. After setting up the Fan and temperature settings, connect a peripheral power connector to the Alarm Board. The Alarm Board has been successfully installed.
CD-ROM Drive, Hard Disk Drive and Floppy Drive installation is a simple process.

First remove the four (4) screws located at the top of the drive cage.

Install CD-ROM drive, floppy drive and hard disk drive
directly in to the drive cage.
